Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant

About the role

Sunny Sky Products is the leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty beverage concentrates and beverage enhancers. The primary role is to sell and deliver Sunny Sky products to existing customers and expand the customer base in San Diego, CA and the surrounding areas. This position is also responsible for providing and maintaining equipment for serving our beverages at customer locations, including managing the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) warehouse, receiving deliveries, and handling loading/unloading of DSD trucks. Training will be provided on all aspects of the DSD role, including product knowledge, sales processes, and customer acquisition and retention.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload company vehicles to ensure inventory is prepared for daily routes.
• Complete inventory counts at the beginning and end of each day.
• Receive all deliveries to the warehouse.
• Complete assigned deliveries promptly, ensuring products and equipment reach customers.
• Repair beverage machines as needed.
• Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning, organizing, rotating product, and shipping/receiving equipment, parts, and product.
• Maintain complete, accurate written and electronic records.
• Accept customer payments (cash, check, or electronic) and make daily bank deposits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurant and store owners and staff.
• Perform in-store merchandising, point-of-sale tasks, and rotate account inventory.
• Clean beverage machines and replace machines and promotional materials at store locations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must satisfactorily pass forklift driving training or demonstrate safe forklift handling.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to drive 60-80% of the time.
• Comfortable performing basic mathematical functions.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Outgoing personality with the ability to connect and build relationships with customers.
• Must be a self-starter with a focus on in-store merchandising and point-of-sale activities.
