Substitute (On Call)

Position Overview

Substitute tasks include student observation and support, working in a support role in classrooms, and careful supervision of children during outdoor recess. We are looking for substitutes with Early Childhood Education (ECE) units to work with our youngest children - 18 months to 6 years old. We are also looking for substitutes for our Elementary and Junior High classes.

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, And Attributes

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) units (for candidates interested in working with our Toddler and Primary classes)
• Experience working with young children
• Interested in learning the Montessori approach
• A collaborative and flexible approach to working with colleagues
• Organized with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a valid California driver's license with no points
• Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds

Hours

This is an on-call position, and dependent on the role, it can be anytime between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm. Additional School Care Program Hours are available from 10:45 am - 6:00 pm.

Salary

This is a non-exempt, part-time position. The salary is based on qualifications and experience.
