Custodial Substitute (On Call)

About the role

The Custodian Substitute supports the school district by performing general cleaning within assigned areas, hallways, restrooms, gyms, and school areas in accordance with cleaning schedules and work assignments to provide a safe, clean learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including hallways, restrooms, gyms, and other school spaces.
• Follow written and verbal instructions for cleaning schedules and work assignments.
• Collaborate with employees and communicate effectively with students, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude for learning and performing minor repair work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Boiler license preferred or ability to obtain one.
• Custodian experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Interest in working in a school district environment.

Pay

The wage for this position is $24.26 per hour.

Schedule

Depends on assignment; 12-month, on-call position.
