Job Responsibilities
- Treats the staff, students, and general public with dignity and respect
- Ensures confidentiality in a professional manner
- Responsible for the students' safety in the school environment
- Respects and manages all equipment and keys used during the workday
- Responsible for all assigned tasks and maintains an organized workstation
- Demonstrates mature and professional conduct at all times
- Collaborates and communicates with parents, students, and faculty
- Supports and assists teachers in preparation for classroom activities
- Supports teachers in the delivery of the instructional program
- Participates in opportunities to develop knowledge and skills that support assignments
- Maintains all necessary documents within areas of responsibility
- Works with small groups of students throughout the day focusing on literacy skills
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Advanced computer skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word
- Expertise in organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
- Ability to successfully manage and coordinate a number of projects and tasks
- Skills in effective oral and written communication
- Must pass various pre-employment background screenings
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
- Bilingual desired
- Must be able to follow directions and work without close supervision
- Must be able to promote and follow Board of Education policies and building and department procedures
- Experience working with diverse cultures, backgrounds, and abilities desirable

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, advanced computer skills, proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word, expertise in organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to successfully manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks, skills in effective oral and written communication, ability to pass various pre-employment background screenings, ability to read, write, and comprehend English, bilingual capability, ability to follow directions and work independently, experience working with diverse cultures, backgrounds, and abilities, and promotion of Board of Education policies and departmental procedures.
