2026-27 Substitute Educational Associate

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers in meeting the needs of students in all classrooms, including special education.
• Sustains academic instruction with small groups of students.
• Supervises students during other components of the school day.
• Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed or listed in assigned position.
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourages self-discipline and responsibility.
• Creates a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Ability to relate effectively to children with different academic and behavioral needs.
• Must complete the required training within 30 days of being activated as a substitute in the substitute system.

Pay

Hourly Wage: $15.75 for general ed. associates, $17.10 for preschool or special ed associates, $23.10 for AMES Center associates.

Schedule

On part-time, on-call substitute positions. Supports teachers in meeting the needs of students in all classrooms, including special education.
