Educational Support Personnel (ESP)

Responsibilities

• Consistently reinforce varied instructional techniques within a classroom setting
• Work with designated student population (moderate to severe disabilities)
• Utilize working knowledge of computer technology
• Auxiliary with follow-up small group instruction
• Assist with general classroom monitoring and management
• Participate in instructional preparation and team servicing of students
• Assist with activities such as lifting/transferring students, activities of daily living, hygiene/toileting/feeding, and community/vocational supervision
• Supervise designated students in classroom and building settings
• Apply behavior management techniques and positive behavior supports
• Extend intervention techniques to other settings within the school/community
• Collect and record daily data as needed
• Perform other duties and classroom/program assignments as reasonably required
