Substitute Custodian

Substitute custodian positions available for the 2026-2027 school year. Work hours will vary. Minimum hourly rate is $17.80.

About the role

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for students, staff, and visitors, primarily by following daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules. This is a temporary, hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Performs repetitive manual work requiring efficient performance of building cleaning and maintenance duties
• Scrubs and rinses floors in assigned area
• Damp mops a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, library, halls, stairs, cafeteria, kitchens, locker rooms and mechanical equipment rooms)
• Dusts a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, stage, library, halls, gym floors, and cafeteria)
• Sweeps shops, stairs and entrance areas, locker room, bleachers, sidewalks, halls
• Cleans and scrubs restrooms completely
• Dusts rooms, offices, furniture and cupboards, and removes cobwebs
• Empties and washes garbage cans
• Performs other duties as assigned

Pay

Minimum hourly rate is $17.80.
