Substitute Bus Driver Pool 2026-27 SY

Beaumont Unified School District is located in the scenic San Gorgonio Pass, between Palm Springs and Southern California’s Inland Empire. The district supports the growing communities of Beaumont, Cherry Valley, and portions of Calimesa and Banning, serving over 12,000 students across seven elementary schools (TK-5), one TK-8, two middle schools, a comprehensive high school (9-12), one middle college high school, one alternative school, an extensive home education program, and a large adult education program.

About the role

Substitute Bus Drivers are on-call as needed for the 2026-27 school year. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

• California Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A or B
• Passenger (P) endorsement
• School Bus (S) endorsement
• DL-51 – DMV Medical Report (Medical Examiner’s Certificate)
• DL-45 – CHP Special (School Bus) Driver Certificate
• Acceptable restrictions on DL-45:
  • 1: automatic transmission only
  • 6: first aid waiver (if restricted, must submit a separate First Aid Certificate)
• First Aid Certificate (only required if DL-45 has restriction 6)

Pay

$25.08 per hour (single rate).
