Substitute Bus Driver

• Operate a school bus on assigned routes and schedules.
• Pick up and drop off students safely and on time.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain order and ensure student safety during transport.
• Communicate with school staff and transportation supervisors as needed.

Qualifications

• Possession, at time of appointment and during service in this classification, of a valid NYS Class B CDL with "P" and "S" endorsements.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and complete training requirements specified by the NYS Department of Education pursuant to 8 NYCRR Education (A) Part 156.
• Clean driving record and successful completion of required training.
• Ability to manage student behavior calmly and effectively.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and professional.
