Bus Driver
About the role
The Athenian School is an independent college preparatory boarding and day school serving students in grades 6 - 12. We focus on experiential, collaborative, and interdisciplinary learning, fostering critical thinking, reasoned discourse, mutual respect, and social justice.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and related activities, including field trips, athletic events, and airport transportation
- Perform daily school bus check outs
- Report maintenance issues to all necessary parties
- Complete record of duty status reports
- Maintain communication with supervisor and reception to report any delays
- Establish and maintain good rapport with students and adults
Core Qualifications
- Experience with student transport by bus and van
- Demonstrated ability to manage professional relationships with students and adults
- A clear commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion to support students from diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Current licensing in place and attendance at necessary training to remain compliant with all state requirements

- Hourly rate for this position ranges between $33.00 - $39.00 per hour
