WORK LOCATION, SCHEDULE & TRAVEL This position will be based out of either Birmingham, AL or Forest Park, GA (metro Atlanta)Hybrid work schedule (both in-office and telecommute); currently four (4) days in-office and one (1) day telecommute.Some relocation assistance may be available if you do not already live within a reasonable commute distance.This position will require some travel (day and overnight, up to 25%) and the ability to work successfully in a remote/virtual environment with access to internet service. Position Summary This position will provide leadership, guidance and direction to Substation Physical Equipment & Standards and serve as a technical resource in the Substation Physical area to design, operations and field personnel. Other responsibilities include performing special projects and working with vendors to identify and implement equipment products to serve Southern Company's needs.
