Substation Engineering Manager
About the role
The Substation Engineering Manager will assist in the operations of the production section, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support. They may also function as an Assistant Project Manager and assist in project production responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the management of the production section, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support.
- Assist in the responsibility for production on projects, including management responsibilities.
- Administer administrative tasks for the section staff and technical service functions, and coordinate services with other sections.
- Involvement in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews.
- Direct involvement with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production, and related issues.
- Ensure that all work is planned, organized, controlled, and evaluated through a proactive project management system.
- Support company policies and procedures.
- Select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel.
- Collaborate with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Minimum of 7 years experience.
- Professional registration, license, or certification may be required based on role.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
