Substation CAD Technician

Create and revise substation design drawings

• Use AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to create and revise substation design drawings.
• Develop physical layouts, plan and elevation views, equipment arrangements, grounding plans, and structural drawings.
• Prepare construction drawing packages and incorporate engineering markups.
• Develop steel detailing and foundation drawings for substation equipment and structures.
• Coverge with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure design accuracy.
• Maintain drafting standards and quality control procedures.
• Support project schedules by producing deliverables on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drafting experience.
• AutoCAD 3D is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Substation physical layout drafting experience.
