Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!

Position Overview

Suicide abuse counselor will be responsible for assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and providing techniques for managing opioid addiction. The counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to aid in crisis management and coping strategies. The counselor evaluates patients' progress during counseling and collaborates with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to assist patients in achieving their overall outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regular intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
  • Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
  • Completes bio-psychosocial assessment
  • Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints
  • Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
  • Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Current LSAA, LADAC, LMHC, LMSW, LPCC, LCSW or LMFT
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
