Substance Use Counselor

About the role

Seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide individual and group counseling for adults in a new residential treatment program.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments, screenings, referrals, and treatment plans
• Provide case management and coordinate community support services
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Support clients’ recovery goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners

Requirements

• Valid Wisconsin SAC‑IT, SAC, or CSAC credential
• Associate’s degree in human services or related field (bachelor's preferred)
• Knowledge of addiction, recovery, counseling, and case management principles
• Experience with justice‑involved populations is a plus
