Substance Use/Addiction Counselor

Onsite full-time position in Stamford, CT with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend work.

About the role

Provide culturally competent counseling services focused on substance use recovery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group counseling for substance use disorders (SUD).
• Apply trauma-sensitive therapeutic interventions.
• Integrate Medicated Assisted Treatment/Recovery into care plans.
• Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills in client interactions.
• Leverage technology to document and manage treatment records.

Requirements

• CT State licensure preferred: LCSW, LADC, LPC, or LMFT.
• Required credential: LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, CAC, or Master’s degree in a mental-health-related field.
• Experience treating substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of Medicated Assisted Treatment/Recovery.
• Experience with trauma-sensitive therapeutic interventions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

$65,000–$75,000 per year.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday.
