Subrogation & Recovery Department – Attorney

Responsibilities

• Representing clients in state and federal courts throughout all phases of litigation
• Investigating and evaluating complex property losses arising from fires, explosions, product failures, construction defects, equipment failures, utility incidents, and other catastrophic events
• Collaborating with forensic engineers, fire investigators, accountants, and other experts to develop recovery strategies
• Drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs
• Taking and defending depositions
• Preparing for and appearing at court hearings
• Participating in mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
• Maintaining effective communication with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

Requirements

• Strong litigation, analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
• Able to manage matters independently while working collaboratively within a team-oriented practice
• Experience in property damage, insurance, construction, product liability, commercial litigation, or subrogation matters preferred
• An insurance background is a plus

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing in Colorado

Benefits

• The salary range for this role is $175,000 - $195,000 with the opportunity for a significant performance bonus
