About the role

The U.S. Subpoena Team manages the intake and processing of subpoenas and other legal requests, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant responses within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The Intake Team Lead oversees daily intake operations, including reviewing incoming requests, coordinating workflow, and ensuring accurate data entry into case tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Hires the best talent and sets goals for the team
  • Develops staff and manages employee performance and compensation decisions
  • Promotes teamwork and handles disciplinary actions as required
  • Manages and supervises the subpoena department, overseeing projects and meeting regularly with team members to track progress and adjust assignments
  • Trains new staff on policies, practices, and procedures, including incorporating new procedures
  • Assigns, prioritizes, and monitors work for the team
  • Trains new staff on policy and procedure, as requested by supervisor
  • Led projects, special tasks, and more complex production requests, preparing them for submission to Legal Research team
  • Provides direction to other Subpoena staff members
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of projects after implementation, receiving feedback from various internal areas, and passing information to others as necessary
  • Communicates with in-house counsel and outside counsel on various topics

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 Years of related experience
  • Legal Assistant certification/training highly desirable
  • 4+ years of legal assistant work experience or administrative experience in a banking or corporate environment or legal office
  • Strong knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and functional areas of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency with basic office equipment such as personal computers, fax machines, copiers, and telephone systems with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Excellent typing and transcription skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and adaptable
  • Exercises sound judgment and maintains confidentiality of records and information
  • Excellent customer service orientation
