Subcontracts Administrator
About the role
The Subcontracts Administrator supports DoD and Federal Government programs in Huntsville, AL. Key responsibilities include leading subcontract administration, developing and negotiating subcontracts, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead cradle-to-grave subcontract administration activities supporting DoD and Federal Government programs.
- Develop, negotiate, award, administer, and close out subcontracts in accordance with company policies and Government regulations.
- Prepare solicitation packages, evaluate supplier proposals, conduct cost and price analyses, and negotiate subcontract terms and conditions.
- Administer various subcontract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursement, Time & Materials (T&M), and IDIQ agreements.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, customer requirements, and subcontract flowdown obligations.
- Serve as the primary interface between subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Support proposal and capture efforts through supplier engagement, pricing support, and subcontract strategy development.
- Support CPSRs, DCMA/DCAA audits, and other compliance reviews.
Requirements
- 5-12 years of experience in Government subcontract administration.
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and Government procurement practices.
- Experience negotiating and administering subcontract agreements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Minimal travel.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Contracts Management, or related field.
- CPSR experience.
- Experience supporting DoD programs.
- DCMA and DCAA audit experience.
- JAMIS and SharePoint experience.
- NCMA certification preferred.
