Position Overview
Typical job responsibilities include preparing list of contractors for RFPs, compiling RFP packages, tabulating bids, modifying and updating contract scopes, terms, and conditions, and administering contracts.
The specific work assignment may include assisting with project management by summarizing bid proposals, conducting pre-award conferences, awarding contracts, preparing subcontract documents, tracking deliverables, and negotiating with contractors and clients.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a related field and 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Expert understanding of federal and state policies and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exemplary attention to detail
- Maintains sensitivity to and report on instances of fraud, waste and abuse
- DOE "L" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE "L" clearance
Working Conditions
- Office environment with potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents, and hazardous and radioactive materials
- Ability to perform sedentary to light work, including heavy computer usage
- Potential for radiological training
