Subcontractor Carpentry Crew

About the role

We are Archadeck of Akron, a nationally recognized outdoor living builder specializing in decks, pergolas, screened porches, open porches, and sunrooms. We are currently seeking experienced carpenters to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Build roof structures, framing, wood stairways, window, and door frames.
• Experience building decks, porches, pergolas, 3-season rooms, and various types of composite decking.
• Organized and takes pride in work.
• Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail and enjoys working outside.
• Owns reliable transportation and tools.
• Willing to travel within the Northeast Ohio area.
• Skilled craftsman with solid knowledge of wood properties, carpentry principles, and materials.
• Creative, reads and interprets building plans, works independently, and follows OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Owns reliable transportation.
• Owns their own tools.
• Has active general liability and workers comp policies.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow directions.
• Ability to create and verify material take-offs.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to be punctual.
• Keeps a tidy personal appearance and maintains a clean, safe job site.
• Ladder work and roof framing may be required (depending on the job).

Qualifications

• Crew lead must have at least 5 years of construction/project management experience.
• Great references and samples of completed projects.

Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and project scope, ranging from $25.00 to $55.00 per hour.
