Subcontract Program Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Subcontract Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will lead subcontract management efforts for complex programs with significant supplier content, ensuring strong execution across schedule, budget, quality, and performance objectives. You will partner closely with program leadership, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to build integrated plans, monitor results, and support key negotiations. The position plays an important role in keeping major programs on track while aligning subcontract performance with broader business goals. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $160,400 – $170,300 annually Responsibilities Lead the subcontract management team for programs with major subcontract content Develop and implement integrated program and subcontractor plans Compile and review long-term agreements and subcontractor performance metrics Manage relationships and performance of key subcontractors Establish quality and performance monitoring measures for subcontractors Oversee subcontractor performance to maintain schedule and budget Prepare and present subcontract performance updates to leadership and clients Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience Must have a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at hire U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work Strong background in managing subcontracted programs Proficiency in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) dynamics Benefits Opportunity for professional growth with increased responsibilities Engagement with cross-functional teams in a collaborative work environment Direct involvement in strategic decision-making processes and negotiations Exposure to significant programs within a leading defense organization Access to classified information and advanced project management systems Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
