Roles and Responsibilities
- Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services.
- Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts.
- Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
- Participates in contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.
- Procurement of Airframe detail parts and assemblies from engineering drawings (build to print) in a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and Systems, Applications, and Processes (SAP) system in support of various airframes.
- Source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for the operation of an organization.
- Compiles and analyzes statistical data to help determine the feasibility of buying products and to help establish price objectives.
- Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
- Confers with suppliers and learns to analyze suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
- May prepare bid packages.
- Works with many internal and external departments and customers.
- Sometimes works with some travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- 4+ years of Procurement/buying experience
- 1+ Years of SAP experience
- Self-starter with the ability to manage a high volume of purchase requirements, supply chain-related tasks related to their assigned commodity/desk and associated purchase orders
- Highly organized and customer service focused
- Able to work independently in a virtual environment
- Able to travel as requested, no specific travel outlined at this time
Benefits
This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) role, and this is a Remote role in the US. This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Pay
$30-35/hr
