Subcontract Manager Associate
ITI Engineering is an award-winning supplier of software, hardware, engineering services, and products in the aerospace defense industry. ITI designs and manufactures specialized hardware and software products for aerospace and commercial customers in support of the world's leading fighter aircraft. We produce mission support devices, data transfer equipment, cryptographic data transfer systems, servers, and firmware for components that are critical support system elements for several of the world’s leading fighter aircraft.
About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Subcontracts Manager Associate to support all aspects of subcontracting activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in subcontracts management, negotiation, proposal evaluation, and supply chain compliance, ensuring that all subcontract agreements align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, negotiating, awarding, and managing moderate to complex goods and services subcontracts, including those with SOW/spec-driven requirements
- Generating requirements for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing and evaluating proposals, and negotiating subcontract terms
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers and potential suppliers
- Performing effectively in a fast-paced, proposal-driven environment while proactively identifying, assessing, and managing supply chain risks and opportunities to support competitive, compliant, and timely proposals
- Confirming and expediting material delivery to support development and production program requirements
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, finance, operations, and business development) to align requirements and achieve business objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, subcontract management, or a similar role
- U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent resident (green card) status required
Skills
- Analytical and negotiation skills
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and other technical documentation to procure build-to-print components in compliance with engineering, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, materials, and configuration control to ensure accurate sourcing and supplier execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
