Subcontract Administrator

The Material Buyer supports Client‑3 procurement execution by developing and administering purchase orders for specialized materials, equipment, and services. The role involves preparing bid packages, soliciting and evaluating supplier proposals, negotiating pricing and delivery terms, and awarding purchase orders within established authority while prioritizing schedule and best value for the Client‑3 ramp.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer purchase orders for specialized materials, equipment, and services.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit supplier proposals.
• Evaluate proposals, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and award purchase orders within authority.
• Coordinate closely with SEMAC, GSC, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to resolve procurement roadblocks affecting production.
• Prioritize schedule and best‑value considerations to support the Client‑3 ramp.
• Process purchase‑order changes and maintain accurate SAP data.
• Track supplier commitments and support delivery recovery actions.

Work Location

Minimum of 2 days on site required, with willingness to accommodate up to 4 days on site as program demands.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement and/or overseeing clients, customers, or suppliers.
• 2+ years of professional experience using Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Strong communication skills—written and verbal—focused on procurement/commercial matters.
• Demonstrated business acumen and analytical abilities.
• U.S. citizenship required; dual citizenship with another country is not supported.
