Subcontract Administrator
About the role
AEVEX Aerospace seeks an experienced, detail-oriented Subcontract Administrator to support multiple business units in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Subcontract Administrator works with our team of procurement professionals, in support of DoD programs, to assure compliance with applicable procedures, regulations, and legal requirements including FAR/DFARS and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). We are seeking a motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
This position performs functions or is immediately available to perform functions that are considered safety sensitive for the purpose of maintenance or preventive maintenance as defined by 14 CFR 121. Therefore, employment and continued employment with the company is conditioned upon full compliance with the company's Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program as required by 14 CFR Part 120, 135, 145 and 49 CFR Part 40.
Work arrangement: onsite with occasional travel. Potential flexibility to accommodate a hybrid arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Provide proposal support for multiple business units
- Source selection and finding suppliers and vendors that meet company goals
- Establish and maintain procurement parameters in MRP system
- Support make-vs-buy recommendations consistent with business strategy
- Develop cost-effective strategies for purchasing goods and services
- Maintain relationships with suppliers while scouting for additional vendors
- Evaluate spending operations to improve quality and timeliness of deliveries
- Communicate with management regarding the flow of goods and services affecting production
- Assure compliance with FAR/DFARS and ITAR regulations
- Negotiate NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Terms and Conditions, and Proposed Pricing
- Create RFP solicitations in accordance with Government and AEVEX requirements, ensuring responses meet all TINA requirements
- Evaluate supplier proposal responses and perform detailed proposal analyses and source selections
- Analyze risks and identify risk mitigation strategies
- Act as primary interface between subcontractors and supported programs for all subcontract-related issues
- Administer subcontracts of various types (FFP/Cost-type, etc.) and complexity, ensuring compliance with AEVEX procurement procedures and contractual obligations
- Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for improvement
- Work closely with the company legal department to ensure favorable contracts and terms
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
- Interface with Supply Chain Staff, Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Senior Level Management, Accounts Payable, and Contracts as a key member of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)

Requirements
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS
- Working knowledge of Government Property Administration
- Working knowledge of Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) applicability
- Experience with CPSR audits
- Experience in a hybrid commercial/FAR-compliant environment (a plus)
- Experience with enterprise resource planning programs
- Proficiency in word processing, electronic spreadsheets, and analysis techniques
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field
- Master's degree in a related field (desired)
- Certificate in Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) (desired)
- 5 or more years of experience as a Subcontract Administrator in a manufacturing environment
- 3-5 years of applicable experience in the DoD/Federal industry or equivalent
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance

Pay
Salary range: $109,300—$122,200 USD.
