Sub Food Service Helper

About the Role

Monticello Central School District is seeking a Sub Food Service Helper. This position involves routine manual work assisting in the preparation and service of food and the cleaning of kitchen equipment under immediate supervision.

On occasion, Food Service Helpers may perform cooking duties requiring lesser degrees of skill than those regularly required of a Cook.

Responsibilities

• Fill sugar bowls and salt and pepper shakers.
• Polish silverware, tables, and chairs.
• Clean, wash, and prepare vegetables and fruit for cooking.
• Assist in the preparation of sandwiches and desserts according to diets and menu.
• Help Cooks in any phase of their duties.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils by hand or machine and put them away in the proper place.
• Sweep, mop, and clean the kitchen.
• Properly dispose of refuse.
• Properly put away all deliveries of food and supplies.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.

Pay

$16.50 hourly
