About the role

John Knox Village seeks a salon professional to provide high-end hair and nail services to its residents and associates. This position offers competitive commission and tips, flexible scheduling, and access to a built-in clientele.

Responsibilities

• Perform salon services including shampoos, styles, cuts, perms, and colors
• Manage appointment books and schedule appointments
• Support salon promotions and marketing efforts
• Work closely with the Manager of Salon Services to enhance salon operations
• Assist clients in and out of the chair safely
• Clean and maintain the salon environment
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and associates

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Missouri cosmetology license
• One year hair cutting/styling experience
• Basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current hair trends and products
• Ability to handle stress and work well with others
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods

Skills

• Basic keyboarding and word processing skills
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Benefits
