Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed sales goals of $800 average weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services.
• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Demonstrate business acumen and identify opportunities for growth.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail/service recommendations.
• Serve all guests, including walk-ins, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and the retail team for a total-store guest experience.
• Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Utilize booking and clientele systems for return services and events.
• Maintain store operational standards, including cleanliness and organization.
• Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code and loss prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Previous relevant salon experience preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, styling, texture, treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Skill in using salon equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to demonstrate, recommend, and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele.

Working Conditions

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. during shift.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Continuous and/or frequent coordination and manipulation of objects.
