Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable)
• Meet or exceed sales goal of $800 average weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services
• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to meeting store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink
• Demonstrate business acumen and identify opportunities for growth
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations
• Maintain high standards of customer service and salon image
• Serve all guests, including walk-ins, in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for a total-store guest experience
• Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
• Utilize booking and clientele systems for return services and events
• Maintain store operational standards, including cleanliness and organization
• Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code and protect company assets

Requirements

• Cosmetology license
• Previous relevant salon experience preferred

Qualifications

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (where applicable)
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals needed for technical work
• Ability to demonstrate, recommend, and sell pro hair care and makeup products
• Developed communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele

Working Conditions

• Frequent mobility during shift
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. during shift
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Continuous and/or frequent coordination and manipulation of objects
