Stylist
About the role
Dairy Boy is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer lifestyle brand built around a new vision of American style — blending nostalgia, sport, and everyday life with a point of view that feels fresh, intentional, and distinctly its own. We help people build lives and spaces that reflect who they are, and our audience is passionate, loyal, and growing fast across every platform.
We're looking for a Stylist with real, trusted taste — someone we'd hand a photo shoot, a store floor, or a mood board to and know it'll come out right. The role is broad on purpose: your eye should touch almost everything we make and show. You'll work directly with senior leadership, have real ownership over how Dairy Boy looks from a rack to a reel, and help build a style point of view the whole brand can lean on.
Responsibilities
- Style photo shoots on set — pull references, source product and accessories, build each look start to finish
- Merchandise product on the retail floor — tables, walls, windows, all of it
- Flag what's missing from an upcoming collection and bring references to the design team and creative director
- Help turn a creative director's mood board into an actual, sellable assortment with the design team
- Style content for social and campaigns so everything we post looks considered, not thrown together
- Build and maintain an internal library of styling accessories — shoes, jewelry, and more — the team can pull from
- Weigh in with PR and gifting on what goes to which creator
- Source and manage styling product, samples, and props for shoots and events, including tracking and returns
- Keep a pulse on trends and references worth bringing into the brand's world
- Partner with design, marketing, e-commerce, and PR to keep styling decisions on schedule and aligned with what's coming next
- Track what's working — in stores, on social, in campaigns — and carry it into the next collection
Requirements
- Real, obvious personal style — the kind other people notice and trust
- Styling experience in any form: on set, in retail, in-house at a brand, at a magazine, or with your own clients — the eye matters more than the years
- Comfortable styling in very different settings: a shoot, a store floor, a phone screen, a mood board review
- Takes direction well without losing your point of view — collaborative, not precious
- Organized enough to run a styling closet and keep several shoots or projects moving at once
- An eye for merchandising — how product looks and sells changes with how it's presented
- Real interest in fashion, trends, and culture, with actual opinions about what's worth paying attention to
- Comfortable working across design, marketing, PR, and creative leadership
- Can present ideas and references clearly, in writing and in person
A degree in fashion, styling, or merchandising is a plus, not a requirement.
Schedule
Full-time, hybrid role based between Westport, CT and Manhattan — in the office Monday through Thursday, remote on Fridays.
