Responsibilities
- Train and recruit alongside lead instructors.
- Mentor and develop lead instructors.
- Serve as a studio coach when needed and maintain a schedule with a minimum of 16 classes per month.
- Oversee day-to-day studio operations, ensuring classes run smoothly and on schedule.
- Manage front desk operations, bookings, client check-ins, and studio systems.
- Manage lead instructors' studio cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and safety standards, and conduct studio audits.
- Handle client issues, feedback, and service recovery when needed.
- Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of instructors and front desk staff.
- Foster a positive team culture and maintain clear communication across staff.
- Execute local marketing initiatives to increase membership and class bookings.
- Manage studio social media presence, community engagement, and brand messaging.
- Develop partnerships with local businesses, wellness professionals, and community organizations.
- Coordinate promotional events, open houses, and workshops.
- Manage referral programs and membership promotions.
- Aid in digital marketing support, including email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotional messaging.
- Monitor website bookings and online presence across platforms such as Google and social media.
- Track marketing performance and report on campaign results.
- Drive membership sales and retention strategies.
- Track key metrics such as class attendance, membership renewals, and client acquisition.
- Identify opportunities to increase client lifetime value.
- Ensure a welcoming, professional environment for all clients.
- Implement initiatives to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
- Implement feedback systems and continuously improve client experience.
- Monitor studio revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics.
- Support budgeting and financial reporting processes.
- Identify operational efficiencies that improve studio performance.
Qualifications
- Flexible and open availability with weekends and holidays required.
- Ability to work on-site and travel to studios at least 75% of the week, with the remaining 25% of the week remote.
- Occasional variations as needed, based on business needs.
- The position is full-time and exempt with an expected 40 hours worked per week (including classes coached).
- Multi-unit management experience (3-5 years preferred).
- Prior people management experience in high-end fitness, retail, or hospitality (3-5 years preferred).
- Prior group fitness instruction, personal training, or professional athletic training experience (2 years preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Proficiency in g-Suite and MS office, specifically excel and google sheets.
- Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
