About the role

This is a full-time, member-facing role at the heart of our studio and our community. You’ll be the person who makes Musicians Playground feel like a place people belong, owning the community, the member experience, retention, and the day-to-day operation of the studio.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and uphold the Musicians Playground community and culture, living our mission and values every day and making the studio a place people feel they belong
  • Build the relationships, rituals, and sense of belonging that turn members into a genuine community and make every member’s experience phenomenal, not just satisfactory
  • Represent the MP brand within the studio and across the local music and creative community
  • Own the end-to-end member experience so every touchpoint, from a first visit onward, feels welcoming, personal, and special
  • Ideate and implement the initiatives that reduce churn, deepen engagement, and keep members growing with us, from proactive check-ins to win-back efforts
  • Membership Growth & Studio Dynamics: Convert Intro Week guests into members and strengthen renewals through genuine, high-quality member interactions
  • Support local marketing and member-acquisition initiatives in partnership with ownership, bringing new people through the door and into the community
  • Studio Operations: Run daily studio operations: opening and closing, space and inventory management, supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to keep the studio clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, coordinating repairs and improvements as needed
  • Uphold the studio’s presentation and brand standards at all times

Requirements

  • An experienced, member-facing professional with 3+ years owning customer or member experience in a fitness club, yoga or pilates studio, boutique gym, wellness brand, or hospitality setting
  • A natural community builder who creates belonging and connection, and who people are drawn to
  • Relationship-driven and genuinely energized by making members’ experiences exceptional
  • A confident communicator with sharp attention to detail, strong follow-through, and great judgment in the moment
  • Highly organized and self-directed, able to own the day-to-day and make sound calls independently
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities shift and ownership matters

Qualifications

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a customer-facing environment (boutique fitness, hospitality, retail, wellness, membership businesses, or creative arts)
  • A track record of supporting sales goals, client retention, or business growth
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
  • An eye for design and a real care for how spaces feel
  • Comfort with platforms like Mindbody, Google Workspace, ClickUp, Klaviyo, Canva, and CRM tools (or the ability to learn them quickly)

Skills

  • Musical experience is welcome but absolutely not required

Benefits

  • Health insurance with 50% of your premium covered by Musicians Playground
  • Commuter benefits
  • Free access to music lessons, group classes, and studio use
  • Paid training and development, with a clear path into senior leadership

Pay

$60,000 base salary, target performance bonus of $20,000 in annual performance bonus paid quarterly ($80,000 on-target earnings)

Schedule
