Studio Manager
About the role
The Studio Manager is responsible for the overall performance, growth, and success of the Las Vegas market. This role oversees both studio operations and fitness functions, ensuring exceptional client experiences, strong team development, operational excellence, and adherence to BODYROK brand standards. As a leader in the Las Vegas market, the Studio Manager is accountable for the studio's financial performance, team culture, member experience, and execution of company initiatives. The role serves as the primary liaison between the Las Vegas team and company leadership while helping prepare the market for future expansion. The Studio Manager recruits, hires, trains, develops, and schedules a diverse team and provides leadership and direction to ensure the team achieves goals. This position is responsible for communicating and upholding company policies and standards and delivering on the commitment to a clean, friendly, and well‑maintained studio.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a strong team of Studio Instructors that deliver on company goals and reflect its values.
- Train, coach, and conduct planning sessions and performance reviews.
- Recognize strong performance and discipline when necessary.
- Conduct studio meetings to review performance and offer direction, motivation, and guidance toward achieving individual and company goals.
- Oversee team recognition programs (e.g., employee appreciation, birthdays, and milestones).
- Business Performance & Sales
- Monitor key business metrics, including revenue, membership growth, intro conversion, utilization, retention, payroll efficiency, retail sales, client satisfaction, and instructor retention.
- Develop action plans to improve performance where needed.
- Collaborate with Corporate and partnership managers to drive sales through outside lead generation and monthly onsite events.
- Studio Operations & Member Experience
- Oversee all daily studio operations.
- Monitor studio appearance and ensure problems are resolved quickly, delivering a clean, friendly, and well‑maintained environment.
- Ensure retail is optimally merchandised, displayed, and that transfers occur according to company policy and procedure.
- Responsible for proper inventory receiving and inventory control activities per company guidelines; prepare inventory reports.
- Manage third‑party janitorial service.
- Staff Scheduling, Payroll & Coverage
- Schedule Studio Instructors and cover instructor no‑shows.
- Oversee time‑and‑labor protocol to company standards.
- Oversee payroll and commissions.
- Reporting & Administration
- Prepare reports and communications regarding studio operations as needed (e.g., supply logs, maintenance logs, production reports, utilization reports).
- Maintain compliance with company policies and employment practices.
- Ensure proper use of Mindbody, NetGym, FitGrid, and all company systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in the studio, move about studio floors and rooms, review, revise, and create studio paperwork, and communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lb.
- Occasionally sits, walks, kneels, and reaches with hands and arms.
Work Environment
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Noise level in the environment is loud.
- Ability to work a varied schedule to support business needs, including frequent extended workdays, weekends, and holidays.
Travel
Must provide own transportation to and from the studio.
Position
Full‑time, Salary. Salary includes a requirement of 12 classes per week.
