Student Ultrasound Tech PRN

About the Role

The 2nd year ultrasound student, under supervision, is required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients. Ultrasound Interns must utilize sterile techniques when necessary, operate complex equipment, and assist other Technologists and Physicians as needed throughout the Mission Health System. This position functions with constant supervision from a licensed technologist and/or physician to produce superior quality images. The ultrasound Intern must demonstrate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative while assuming responsibility for designated areas and procedures.

Requirements

• Current second-year student in a JRCERT-accredited School of Ultrasonography
• BLS certification and required clinical experience from a JRCERT-accredited School of Ultrasonography
• Must be enrolled in a 2nd-year Ultrasonography program
• Minimum six months of clinical experience in a multi-disciplined radiology department (approved experience gained through a clinical education program is acceptable)
