Student Ultrasound Tech PRN

Job Summary

The 2nd year ultrasound student, under supervision, is required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients. Ultrasound Interns are required to utilize sterile techniques, if necessary, operate complex equipment, and assist other Technologists, Physicians as necessary throughout the Mission Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients under supervision.
• Utilize sterile techniques, if necessary.
• Operate complex equipment.
• Absorb continuing education, learned skills, and experience.
• Assist other Technologists, Physicians as necessary.
• Function with constant supervision from licensed technologist and/or physician to produce superior quality images.
• Demonstrate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas and procedures.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Current second year student in JRCERT accredited School of Ultrasonography.
• Required License: BLS and required clinical from JRCERT accredited School of Ultrasonography.
• Minimum six months clinical experience in multi-disciplined radiology department. Approved experience gained through a clinical education program is acceptable.
