Education

Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Work Experience

1 year of modality specific experience preferred.

Registration/Certification

  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT(S) eligible, must obtain certification within 12 months.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to learn and use new processes, tools, equipment as required.
