Student Transportation Officer

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Student Transportation Officer at San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, California. The academy offers a range of amenities and activities, including sports and academic support.

About the Role

San Pasqual Academy is situated on a 238-acre campus in rural San Pasqual Valley. The academy provides a comprehensive education with facilities like classrooms, an auditorium, gym, and cafeteria. It also includes residential staff and house parents who mentor and tutor students, teach life skills, and facilitate various activities.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school, medical appointments, court hearings, extracurricular activities, and community outings.
• Operate agency vehicles in compliance with laws and policies.
• Supervise youth during transport to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Cook up-to-date schedules with staff to support timely and reliable services.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet ROP eligible driver requirements.
• Must have an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Pay & Schedule

• Starting pay rate: $19.00 per hour.
• Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7am-3pm.
