Student Transition and Pathway Coordinator

The Student Transition and Pathway Coordinator serves as the primary NDSCS contact for the Pathway Program and related student transition initiatives in Fargo. The position involves academic advising, student support, and coordination of pathway opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides academic advising and student support services
  • Led the coordination, assessment, enhancement, and expansion of pathway opportunities
  • Ensures a seamless student experience through collaboration with NDSU partners, faculty, academic counselors, and Student Success staff
  • Develops and maintains relationships with community partners
  • Identifies opportunities to expand pathway programming
  • Maintains monitoring of student outcomes and recommends process improvements
  • Enhances program effectiveness and student success

Requirements

  • Supports the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Science, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a closely related field
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to student needs
  • Proficiency in MS-Office or similar software
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students and staff
  • Broad knowledge of higher education and student development
  • Experience working with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge of higher education and student development
  • Professional academic advising experience with undergraduate students
  • Experience with technology programs and software packages related to student information systems
  • Working knowledge of student-related FERPA regulations
  • A Master’s degree (M.A., M.S., etc.) in counseling and guidance, higher education, psychology, social work, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education

Salary

$55,000 - $62,000, commensurate with education and experience
