Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Dean of Students to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate a comprehensive transition experience for all entering undergraduate students, both first-year and transfer students each trimester ensuring a seamless and supportive introduction to the University.
- Cook up the development, organization, and execution of both virtual and in-person orientation programs that effectively prepare students for academic, social and campus life.
- Collaborate closely with the Dean of Students, Admissions, Academic Deans, and other campus partners to align transition programming with institutional goals and student success initiatives.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for transition-related communications, schedules, and programming, ensuring consistency, clarity, and timely delivery of information to new students and their families.
- Oversee all operational aspects of orientation and transition programs, including logistics, timelines staffing coordination, and resource management.
- Absorb the effectiveness of transition and orientation programs through feedback, participation data, and outcomes, and share findings and recommendations with leadership to enhance student experience.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures related to student programming and onboarding activities.
- Support a welcoming, inclusive, and student-centered transition environment that fosters engagement, retention, and academic success.
- Work closely with the Student Life Staff to develop, coordinate, and implement student activities that support new student engagement and belonging.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Higher Education, Communication, Marketing, or related field
- Experience: Minimum: Two (2) or more years experience in admissions, orientation, student support services or related higher education experience.
- Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree in Higher Education, Communication, Marketing, or related field. Five (5) or more years experience in admissions, orientation, student support services or related higher education experience.
