Student Teaching Aide - Architecture - Tulane School Of Architecture and Built Environment

About the role

Design Media I is looking for Teaching Assistants to provide a more personal touch to our large lecture. TAs will give hands-on feedback to sophomores learning basic architectural drawing and representation, assist with workshops, tutorials, and create class materials. Applicants with a passion for Rhino and architectural projections of all kinds are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Run tutorials and provide technical support during pin-ups and workshops
• Take attendance and provide feedback on student work
• Hold office hours and assist with Canvas
• Help with drawing set-up at the beginning of the semester (GIS and Rhino)
• Average commitment of 5 hours per week

Schedule

• Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM
• Flexible outside of class time
• Teaching team meeting before every assignment
• Position is in-person/on-campus (Uptown)

Requirements

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• Federal Work Study Award (potentially required)
• Prior or active enrollment in a relevant class or course of study (potentially required)
• A required grade in prior coursework (potentially required)
