About the role
The Student Support Specialist I - Scheduling and Catalog position involves performing duties related to scheduling classes and curriculum, maintaining and updating the University Catalog, and supporting other University Registrar functions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the University Catalog
- Schedule courses and classrooms
- Schedule Finals and Evening Exams
- Monitor and answer questions out of multiple resource accounts
- Work with faculty, staff, and students on course-related issues
- Support other University Registrar functions
- Aid with functional testing of the student information system (myZou) and ticketing system
- Assist with special projects
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired
Qualifications
- Familiarity with People Soft (myZou)
- Familiarity with course scheduling and University Catalog and Curriculum
Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
