About the role
Ignite Education Solutions is hiring Paraprofessionals to work with students in the Clearfield School District. Hours are based on school district schedules. When school is off, you're off.
Responsibilities
- Assist Students With Activities Of Daily Living
- Help students with personal hygiene tasks, including toileting, grooming, and dressing.
- Support students in mobility and transferring as needed.
- Provide Physical And Emotional Support
- Assist students with physical disabilities in moving around the school, classrooms, and other facilities.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to students facing challenges.
- Implement Individualized Care Plans
- Follow individual care plans developed in collaboration with teachers, school nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure that the unique needs of each student are met.
- Support In The Classroom
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to facilitate students' participation in classroom activities.
- Assist with instructional materials and adaptive equipment as required.
- Communication
- Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding students' progress and any concerns.
- Attend meetings with the educational team to discuss and update care plans.
- Promote Independence
- Encourage and empower students to develop and maintain independence in daily activities whenever possible.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma is the minimum education requirement.
- Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
- Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
- Previous experience working with individuals with special needs or disabilities is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with diverse needs.
- Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively with a team, and adapt to changing situations.
- Understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements related to student information.

Pay
Pay range starts at $15.00 per hour.
