Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary non-faculty point of contact for students, building supportive relationships that promote satisfaction and persistence through remote communication and in-person interaction.
- Advises students on academic programs, policies, scheduling, degree and credential requirements, including complex or non-linear pathways.
- Collaborates with campus partners and refers students to appropriate campus resources to address needs beyond the coach’s direct scope and facilitates timely, effective support.
- Initiates and maintains proactive, targeted communication with students to support engagement, retention, and re-recruitment efforts.
- Tracks, analyzes, and interprets student needs and experiences to inform improvements to programs, policies, and processes.
- Supports recruitment, re-recruitment, and retention goals through outreach campaigns and group information sessions.
- Reviews academic records and documentation to verify completion of academic and credential requirements and recommends eligible candidates to CTC.
- Collaborates with program and unit leaders by sharing insights that support student success, institutional effectiveness, and CTC accreditation expectations.
- Collaborates with School of Education events and initiatives that advance core values, student engagement, and community partnerships.

- Proficiency with personal computers and related software applications, along with the ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Ability to make sound administrative and procedural decisions, exercise good judgment, and effectively resolve student concerns.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stands, walks, sits, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone.
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Work normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
