Student Success Coach

About the role

The Student Success Coach will work closely with students to provide academic support, mentorship, and guidance to help them succeed academically and persist in their studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one academic advising to students to help them set and achieve academic goals.
• Mentor students to foster a supportive learning environment and encourage academic success.
• Collaborate with faculty and other campus resources to develop and implement strategies that enhance student retention and success.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to monitor progress and address any challenges they may be facing.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with students to build trust and ensure confidentiality.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, psychology, counseling).
• At least 2 years of experience working with college students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with data analysis and program evaluation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of retention strategies and best practices in higher education.
• Experience with technology and software used in educational settings.
• Passion for supporting students and improving their academic outcomes.
