Responsibilities
- Assist students in planning educational programs compatible with their interests, needs, and abilities.
- Assist with orientation programs and/or classes.
- Provide support to students by connecting students to internal and external resources.
- Prepare documents, reports, and routine correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality of information exposed to in the course of business regarding students, supervisors or other employees.
- Represent the college at appropriate community events, college and career fairs.
- Inform students of requirements for academic transfer and professional/technical programs and/or degrees.
- Explain program of study plans, admission and registration procedures.
- Aid students in clarifying educational, career, and life goals.
- Aid students with appropriate course and program of study selection.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Contribute to the overall mission of the college by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills; Ability to make public presentations as required; Ability to plan and manage own workflow, priorities, and report accomplishments; Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee and student population.
Pay
Salary range is $16.41 per hour.
