Student Resp Therapist - Respiratory Care

Responsibilities

• Holds self and others accountable for safety by ensuring appropriate procedures and guidelines are followed.
• Responsive to coaching and feedback for improvement; demonstrates continued progress by improving competencies, skill development and applying learning.
• Demonstrates appropriate judgment and thinking skills for situations.
• Adds essential duties as instructed in the directions above.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing ordered therapies, evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plan by observing, charting, and evaluating patient’s progress; recommending adjustments and modifications.

Requirements

• Be actively enrolled in an AMA approved Respiratory Care registry program.
• Required Licenses [Ohio, United States]
• Must demonstrate skills in all Patient Care Areas of the Hospital.
• Must demonstrate knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary disease states.
• Active AARC member preferred.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and competency of modalities as verified by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
• Current BLS for respective work area.
• Works under the supervision of a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver care to the respiratory patient.

Qualifications

• Must have a current limited permit to practice respiratory care issued by Ohio.

Skills

• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary disease states.
• Knowledge and competency of modalities as verified by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
• Active AARC membership preferred.
• BLS certification for respective work area.
