Student Radiology Technologist - PRN

About the Role

Join our team as a student imaging technologist at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, offering highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate, patient-centered environment. The Radiology Department is a full-service unit meeting diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapy needs for adult and pediatric patients.

This is a PRN position with flexible hours and is non-benefits eligible. Must be enrolled as a 2nd year student in a Radiologic Technology Program.

Responsibilities

• Assists the technologist with imaging procedures (students require direct supervision in surgery).
• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination areas, assists with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and provides patient assistance as needed.
• Assists outpatients with completing information necessary for procedures.
• Illinois: Follows IEMA guidelines for administering radiation/making exposures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Currently enrolled in an imaging program (must be a 2nd year student).
• No prior experience required.
