Radiology Student Technologist - PRN

About the Role

The Radiology Student Technologist assists with diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. The role emphasizes applying safe and effective use of ionizing radiation in diagnostic radiology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient information review and radiographic exams
• Support patient movement and safety during procedures
• Provide lifting assistance and escort patients within Radiology
• Monitor patient conditions and inform medical staff as needed
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

• Enrollment in an accredited radiology program with at least one year completed and a GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Preferred BLS certification; GXMO license is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment
• Familiarity with electronic health records and PACS systems is preferred

Working Conditions

• Exposure to high-stress situations and potentially hazardous materials
• Potential for physical altercations
• Prolonged work periods alone and frequent interruptions
• Travel to off-site locations may be required
