Student, Radiology Tech
About the role
A Student, Radiology Tech joining our team at Sovah Orthopedics and Sports Medicine will contribute by demonstrating a thorough knowledge of anatomy, image quality, and communication skills. They must also be proficient in radiographic positioning, technique, radiation safety, equipment operation, infection control, and quality control. The role requires assisting in maintaining a safe work environment, performing diagnostic imaging studies, and varying work schedules.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy and image quality.
- Communicate the nature of tests to patients and alleviate their anxiety.
- Understand and apply Radiographic Positioning, Technique, Radiation Safety, Imaging Equipment, Infection Control, and Quality Control techniques.
- Present a pleasant and helpful demeanor to patients, physicians, subordinates, and other department staff.
- Maintain a hazard-free work area.
- Perform routine diagnostic imaging studies as needed.
- Vary work schedule as required.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Working towards a bachelor's degree, diploma, or associate degree in Radiologic Technology (verification from school required).
- BLS certification.
Qualifications
Must have a thorough understanding of anatomical structures and imaging techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
Hourly Range: $15.27 - $18.14
